I remember going to the old town hall library when I was a child aged 9 years old in 1952. I lived in Randolph Street off West Street. My first book was called Milly Molly Mandy. Then I went on to read the Famous Five books by Enid Blighton. It was my first introduction to reading books which I was grateful for.
