Has anyone ever been here I have some vague memories of being here. All I can remember been here as a child I think it was something to do with psychological I’m just wondering if anyone else out there has ever been in there.
I was at Brynteg when I was really young, it certainly was an experience.
We used to go to the cinema in St Lukes every Friday, your post has brought back a lot of memories.
Hope to hear back from you and get your thoughts on it.
I was there from September 1969 until September 1971 my first two years of school when I was diagnosed Autistic on the very first week I started school and I was then put in Brynteg for two years until i went to Feversham School from September 1971 until December 1974
I was one of only 14 children born in 1964 (I was born 28 October 1964) in the whole of Britian that were diagnosed autistic, it was a very rare childhood condition in the 60s. I was probably the first female, if not among only the first handful of girls with this condition that effected mainly boys.
five and six years old when I was in Brynteg . It was a hospital unit for children with neuro-developmental and learning disabilities. I was of the name Selma Moore at the time
I was there as a 6yo. I was diagnosed as a maladjusted child. I went from there to Redworth Hall School. The thing I remember most was the outside fire escape stairs.
