Where I got my first library ticket. Probably 1957. I remember Miss Mitchell, headmistress of Beechwood juniors giving letters or cards for the librarian on your (I think) 11th birthday and as my birthday is in October I was one of the first. I presented myself at the library just along from Belle Vue shops and after a stern lecture (I seem to remember rather a lot of stern lectures in the fifties) from the librarian I received two tickets, one fiction, one non fiction. My first book was, Five Go to Mystery Moor, I don’t remember the non fiction one.
