I loved at Newham Bridge Farm with my parents from 1945 until April 1964 and went to Acklam Hall School.
Hi Robert do you remember my family,my Dad worked for your Dad until 1963 when the land was taken over for building.Do you remember Mr Robinson the previous owner who lived opposite in the big house.Sorry our name is Lynch,Dad Lawrence, mam Margaret, sons Vincent, Michael, Christopher and David,David was born at the farm your dad wanted my dad to go with him to Kirbymoorside, but my mother didn’t because of our schooling, we ended up at Thorntree estate, bit of a culture shock.
Hi Robert,
Was this farm at the top of Tollesby Road?
Did your Mam & Dad belong Avenue Methodist Church?
I have many happy memories if this is so.

It would be good to hear from you. I hope you are keeping well.
I lived there from 1957 to 1963 before the land was built on,my dad was the farm labourer for Robert Pearson,we lived in house adjoining Pearsons house. Happy times.
