1. The building was on Gilkes Street opposite the Green Tree pub and was later converted to the Marlboro Cinema which I remember my mother once telling me was ‘a bit rough’.

   Baxter Street runs down on the left with Park Street just in view. Park Street was always busy with buses looping through to the United bus station and then back out onto Newport Road.
