Captain Cook Hotel (undated)

This photo is of the Captain Cook Hotel in Durham Street, taken at a unknown date.

First opened in 1842 and later rebuilt in 1893, the Captain Cook Hotel was a working public house up until its closure in 2010. The last Landlady of the public house was Mrs. Olwyn McPhillips (nee Woodier).
